Last night my eldest son shared with me that my husband had “broken his spirit”. Back story- my son has functioning autism. He graduated with an aerospace engineering degree in 2020 during covid. He hasn’t been able to get a job other than substitute teaching. I found out last night that he has had opportunities but my husband would tell him it’s too far away, or some other excuse to keep him home. I am heartbroken. I don’t know how to explain this to my spouse and I am overwhelmed.
