Over the past week I have experienced something unimaginable and need many prayers. On Saturday 8/1 I found myself at Mercy Southwest ER with my wife. I hadn’t been feeling 100% for the past week or so. I went to Urgent Care that Tuesday, my Primary Dr on Thursday for a quick run-through with his Physician’s assistant….and just wasn’t feeling 100%. I had bloating and some shortness of breathe mainly in the evenings and thought my stomach was being upset by something creating these bloating and pressure symptoms.

After quick Emergency room evaluations, an EKG, drawing some blood, and then a very quick CT Scan of my Heart using contrast….. we had a doctor sitting bedside with us explaining I am experiencing heart failure. As you can imagine, we are completely shocked by this. They admitted me for CHF that evening and started a gauntlet of tests on me. Emergency Angiogram performed on Sunday evening after transferring me via ambulance to Memorial Hospital Cath Lab. Then conversations began about transferring me to Cedars Sinai. I was fitted with a life vest for emergency transportation once a room would become available. Wednesday afternoon I was notified a room was available and a helicopter was being dispatched to pick me up to make an emergency transfer to Cedars Sinai that afternoon. I was moved quickly and arrived here (Cedars) Wednesday and they’ve been working on me ever since.

God bless this hospital and my care teams from Bakersfield & Cedars Sinai for getting me here as quickly as they could.

I’ve undergone a procure where they left instrumentation inside both sides of my heart to evaluate and make ongoing decisions/adjustments on medicines to strengthen my heart. The Swan Procedure was performed Friday 8/7. Now they’re monitoring everything they can from inside my heart and we are prayerful that the cardio team here will have some insights for us this week as to what may be my upcoming options as to their efforts to strengthen my heart that has obviously been overly stressed for a long time without symptoms until very recently.

Prayers are tremendously appreciated and accepted for strength, comfort, peace, and overall clarity to discern & process everything which is currently and amazingly overwhelming. Thank you!

Prayer warriors, my family and I need your help. I have fallen into the hospital with severe heart stress issues and my wife and I and our boys are struggling with the results and potential life changes that will be coming our way. Please pray for my healing and ability to continue to lead my family however my Lord leaves me to be around here. The hospitals are currently undergoing test after test and they’re preparing my to transfer me to Cefar Sinai por further evaluation from some very good heart transplant specialists.

Your orayers will be much appreciated.
