What if the way you see yourself could change by remembering how God sees you?

Christian artist Josh Wilson is inviting you to be part of something special! His song “How Loved You Are” carries a powerful reminder that even when we struggle with our own reflection, our mistakes, or feelings of not being enough, God’s love for us never changes.

Now, Life FM is partnering with Josh to create an exclusive music video featuring real people from our community—and we want YOU to be part of it!

A previous video like this has reached millions of people, and we’re excited to see how God might use this next project to encourage even more hearts.

The idea is simple: participants will look into a mirror and sing along to the song, reminding themselves of the truth that can be so easy to forget: you are deeply loved by God.

You don’t need to be a professional singer or have any experience in front of a camera. Your original audio won’t be used in the finished video, so there’s no pressure to get every note right. What matters is your willingness to participate and help share this message of love, grace, and identity in Christ.

How to Participate

  1. Record yourself singing or lip-syncing to “How Loved You Are” while looking at yourself in a mirror.
  2. Follow the simple filming guidelines below.
  3. Upload your completed video using the submission button at the bottom of this page.

Your video must be submitted by October 30, 2026!

Tips for Recording Your Video

To help Josh bring all the submissions together into one finished music video, please follow these guidelines:

  • Film vertically: Hold your phone in portrait orientation.
  • Use the best quality available: Record at your phone’s highest quality setting. 4K is ideal if your device supports it.
  • Find a mirror: Sit or stand comfortably in front of a mirror where you can clearly see your reflection.
  • Play the song and sing along: You can sing out loud or lip-sync. The original audio from your recording will not be used; the studio version will replace it in the final edit. The important part is that your mouth movements match the lyrics.
  • Consider using earbuds: If you sing out loud, earbuds can help keep the music from overpowering your recording.
  • Look into your own eyes: Try to maintain eye contact with your reflection as you sing.
  • Keep your phone steady: Avoid moving the camera while recording.
  • Leave a little extra time: Begin recording a few seconds before the music starts and continue for a few seconds after the song ends.
  • Be yourself: There’s no need to perform or get everything perfect. Smile, laugh, cry, or simply let the moment happen naturally. Authenticity is what makes this project meaningful.

Please record the entire song, even though only a portion may appear in the finished music video.

A Helpful Tip Before You Record

If possible, listen to the song a few times and practice the lyrics before filming. Knowing the words will help you focus on your reflection and make the moment feel more personal.

Need a little help remembering the lyrics? No problem! You can print them out, place them beside your mirror, or position them near your camera so you can glance at them when needed.

Lyrics

Verse 1

What would Jesus do
If He heard me talking to me like I do
Looking in the mirror, hating who I see
No one has been harder on myself than me
What would Jesus say?
Would He stand between me and the mirror, face to face
Say, “I can’t let you keep talking to my friend that way”
I wonder, would He say

Chorus

You’re someone that I died for
Someone that I cry for
Someone that I hold together when you fall apart
You’re someone that I’ll fight for
Leave it all behind for
So look me in the eyes ’til you know with all your heart
How loved you are
How loved you are

Verse 2

God, would You help me see
I’m trying to catch a glimpse of what You see in me
So shatter all the shame that’s got me covered up
And burn down every lie that tries to hide Your love
When You say

Chorus

You’re someone that I died for
Someone that I cry for
Someone that I hold together when you fall apart
You’re someone that I fight for
Leave it all behind for
So look me in the eyes ’til you know with all your heart
How loved you are
How loved you are

Bridge

Jesus loves me, I know this is true
He loves me for me, and not what I do
So I can let go of what I put myself through
If Jesus loves me
Then I guess I can, too

Final Chorus

You’re someone that I died for
Someone that I cry for
Someone that I hold together when you fall apart
You’re someone that I’ll fight for
Leave the 99 for
So look me in the eyes ’til you know with all your heart
How loved you are
How loved you are
How loved you are
How loved you are
