Afternoon Joyride

With Matt & Aaron

Matt Pelishek Program Director for Life FM/co-host of the Afternoon Joy Ride Matt graduated from Northwestern College and Radio in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in radio broadcasting in 2006, however he has been involved in radio since 2000.  Matt has 3 daughters, but he also holds a 2nd degree black belt.  These two things are not unrelated.  God have mercy on the poor soul who first asks to date […]

When you hear Aaron Perlman on 88.3 Life FM, know it could be his twin brother, Joshua! He’s identical, although they do live in different states; Joshua is in Arizona.
Aaron came to Life FM as a guest on Matt Pelishek’s afternoon show. It took 5-minutes and they were instant friends. One month later the Afternoon Joy Ride began. You can hear him every Monday – Friday from 2-7 PM. Plus… if you listen closely to the music, you may just hear his heart.

Christian radio changed Aaron’s life, when a song by the band Audio Adrenaline played 3-times in a row while driving to school. Aaron challenged God to play the song again and again to “prove” He was real and to change his life. God did just that and Aaron’s career has not stopped since.

He left Arizona State University one week later to start his career in broadcast television as the evening weather forecaster. 9-months later God moved him to Bakersfield, California as the morning weather forecaster for KBAK / KBFX (CBS & FOX) affiliates.

He’s served as the morning forecaster and now main anchor for Eyewitness News the last 7-years. For the last 5-years Aaron has been voted “Best Of” Television Personality. Don’t think his weekends are empty, though. He is currently the worship leader for Christ’s Church of the Valley, and has been for the last four years. If there is one passion that Aaron loves the most, it is leading worship for Christ.

Any free second Aaron does have is to spend time with his wife, Mindy. She has been his solid rock the last 15 years of marriage… and counting. They have four dogs, six cats and tons of vacuums. You can usually find Aaron and Mindy hiking the Sierra Nevada from Mt. Whitney to Yosemite (221 miles) every late summer into the fall.
