Melissa Young

Melissa is a Taft girl at heart, born and raised in the town she still holds dear. She’s a loving mom to two daughters and one son, and a proud “Mimi” to her beautiful granddaughter and grandson. She absolutely adores her sons-in-law and is so thankful that God brought such amazing men into her daughters’ lives. Of all the blessings she’s been given, Melissa says being a Mimi is her greatest joy.

After walking through three heartbreaking losses in 2012, Melissa found comfort and purpose when she joined Life FM as a volunteer in 2013. What began as a way to give back quickly grew into a calling. Her faithfulness led her to a full-time position as Promotions Director in 2018, and then to Donor Relations in 2022.

When our wonderful General Manager, Terri, retired, Melissa stepped into the role of Office Manager—continuing to serve with the same compassion, faith, and dedication that have always defined her journey.

Melissa’s faith in Jesus is the heart of who she is. It has carried her and her children through seasons of great loss and continues to guide her every day. She’s passionate about her work at Life FM and loves connecting with “the best listeners,” as she calls them. Hearing their stories and sharing in their lives brings her so much joy.
